LUSH Easter Collection 2017 Review

LUSH Easter Collection 2017 Review

Hey everyone!! I am here writing on the blog for the first time in a LONG time! So many of you have asked where I’d been and checked in to see what has been happening which honestly means the world to me!!

I talked about why I took a break from creating content briefly in a Youtube video a few weeks ago and I think I’ll do a blog post on it explaining it a bit more. But for now, since it is Easter I am going to share the LUSH Easter Collection with you and let you know what I think of the items I have tried!! <3

LUSH Easter Collection 2017

LUSH Easter Collection 2017 Review

Firstly the collection is so freaking cute!! I don’t know where I have been on the LUSH Easter front as I have never noticed how on point they are! With the colourful eggs bombs and the carrot bubble bars, these are an awesome alternative to buying 101 chocolate eggs! Not that I am bagging on chocolate, HA, it’s a fave but sometimes particularly for kiddies, it does get too much!

Chick ‘n Mix Bath Bomb

This little fellow I find so cute I don’t want to use it. Like I want to use it, but I also want it sitting cute on my dressing table (which is where I have my LUSH stash) It sits together, like you can see in the other photos, but it also has a little surprise hiding in it!

It just adds the little bit of mystery and fun to a bath bomb! I am yet to try this one as I am still enjoying looking at it – sad I know but I’m not bothered! It smells so fresh and energising that I know I will love it in my bath!

LUSH Easter Chick 'n Mix 2017

 Chocolate Easter Egg Soap

My all time favourite chocolate is orange chocolate! I honestly can not get enough of it! and that is exactly what this soap smells like! With white chocolate, citrus oils and sweet vanilla this soap is to die for! It is rich and creamy and makes your shower time smell AMAZING!!

Golden Egg Bath Bomb Melt

This is another one that seems too pretty to use! Don’t worry I will get over it and use them!! When I was holding this and taking photos I couldn’t help but think what a gorgeous highlight the gold flakes would make!! Serious golden goddess material right there!

LUSH bath melts are seriously something decadent. If you’re looking for something a little more special and luxurious, melts are honestly next level.

As it suggests the golden egg melts in your bath filling it with coco butter to hydrate your skin for days to come and that is not an exaggeration! The golden flecks turn your bath water into a shimmering heaven. You will need to rinse your bath down after use but the shimmer comes off easily! It also leaves your skin shimmery, I like that but a heads up as I know it’s not for everyone.

Which Came First Bath Bomb

I used this bath bomb in a vlog a while back, It made the bath an amazing orange colour! It was also so satisfying to see disolve in the bath as it just exploded when it hit the water!! <3 It had a gorgeous fresh sweet scent to it which was nice and relaxing after spending many hours in the car driving to Auckland and back!

With grapefruit oil, lemon oil and vanilla it was the perfect way to wind down and treat myself!

LUSH Easter What Came First

Flopsy Face Wash Jelly

It took me way too long to realise that the floppy face wash jelly was actually in the shape of a bunny! I thought it was a human face and was just oddly shaped! – oops, I can now confirm that it is in the shape of a bunny face and ears!

I am honestly in two minds about this face wash, I use LUSH’s Angels on Bare Skin everyday and love it. I love the smell of the flopsy, it is nice and fresh like the other items in the collection but I feel it is a little two drying on my skin. I have quite temperamental skin when it comes to face wash and I don’t think this one is right for me.

What I ended up doing is tearing of the ears (sorry bunny) and lathering them up between my hands and using the lather to cleanse my skin. Rather than using the flopsy straight on my face. I am thinking I’ll continue to use it as a body cleanse a couple of times a week so don’t worry, it most definitely will not go to waste.

LUSH Easter Flopsy Bunch of Carrots

Bunch of Carrots Reusable Bubble Bars

These are honestly what I was most excited to try. I love LUSH’s reusable bubble bars! I did find that these were quite wet, so when I touched them or sat them on something they leaked a little, this was before using them of course, so I was conscious of what I sat them on. It could just be the batch that I had, I would be interested to know if anyone else had this issue with them? It is a first for me.

I have been using one carrot per bath, I am not sure if you’re meant to use them together but it made sense to use one at a time. One was most definitely enough, My bath was full of bubbles and the water was a beautiful pink colour! They also smell divine!!

They’re very citrusy, which you may have picked up that I love. It also has Buchu Oil in it which is an antiseptic and anti-inflammatory oil with a blackcurrant and minty scent to it. Perfect for relaxing in the bath and is something I might use tonight!!

Have you tried anything from LUSH this Easter? I would love to know! Happy Easter everyone I hope you have an amazing time with loved ones!
