I have been so excited about the LUSH Halloween Collection. You maaay have picked up by now that I am a huge LUSH addict! I mean, I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone that has tried LUSH products and not liked them. Honestly, is that even a thing? I feel like that is not a thing…
You can always count on LUSH to bring out something awesome for practically any occasion and Halloween is definitely one of them!! Last year I tried the Sparkly Pumpkin for the first time. It’s a LUSH Halloween Collection staple and I love it. If you’re not a big fan of fine glittery stuff in your bath, this may not be for you. But with a good rinse the glitter washes off the bath super easy.
All LUSH products are vegetarian, cruelty free and all ingredients are ethical sourced. <3
LUSH Halloween Collection
This years LUSH Halloween Collection has a huge range of products including bath bombs, a melt, a shimmer bar, soaps, a shower cream and gifts. I was lucky enough to get sent four of the products to try out and let ya know what I think!
I was sent the Lord of Misrule Bath Bomb and Shower Cream. The Autumn Leaf Bath Bomb and the Fireside Soap.
Lord of Misrule
Immediately I LOVE the Lord of Misrule bomb and shower cream! I have seen heaps of people talk about the Misrule products and really hype them up. So I was really pleased when I liked the bold scent.
They have a herbal blend of patchouli, peppercorn, black pepper and vanilla scent. So in really technical terms, I would say they have a spicy sweet scent. They are by no means over poweringly sweet rather just enough to give the overall scent a bit of a lift.
Lord of Misrule Bath Bomb
Oh my word! I had such fun watching and photographing this bath bomb. It started out fizzing green, then the center burst open and a river of pink started to fill the bath. This bath bomb also has popping candy in it so it popped and cracked as it fizzed and dissolved.
As the two colours mixed the water became a deep greeny/blue colour. It was so dark you couldn’t see your legs under the water! The scent filled the bathroom with lush goodness and I could still smell it on my skin the next day! <3
Lord of Misrule Shower Cream
When using the Misrule shower cream it is said to nourish your skin with organic wheatgerm oil giving your skin a dose of vitamin E. Leaving your skin fragrant and in fine party form!
The green of this was a lot brighter than I expected, it’s quite a bright green. As a shower cream it is rich and fragrant. You need to lather this cream up with the warm shower water and really work it over your skin. This also left my skin with a gorgeous scent, I wouldn’t say it was particularly moisturising but it is lovely on the skin none the less.
Next up is the Autumn Leaf bath bomb which made me giggle a little since its spring in NZ. Not that that really matters to be honest, it looks more spring like in terms of colours anyway. This beauty is made to represent the changing colours of the autumn leaves. It is said to transform your bath from green to yellow to red as it fizzes in your bath water.
Seriously LUSH can make bath time so magical. I’m 26 years old and I want to get in a bath, play with colourful water and bubbles. As long as they don’t start making bath toys, I think I can still play it cool. Although the tubs of christmas buildable snowmen I have may say other wise…..
I am not sure if this is a Halloween specific soap as it talks more about Christmas… I guess fire is a multi occasion being, either way it smells good. Fireside is said to bring your shower alive with a christmas wonderland. Roasting chestnuts by the fire with jack frost nipping at your nose (even in summer).
While the blurb doesn’t really fit with us going into summer, it actually smells good all the same. It has that Christmas spice crossed with a citrus type scent. I feel like it vaguely reminds me of Porridge Soap by LUSH which is my favourite but I am not sure if I have been sniffing and over thinking it too much now. *Insert squiggly mouth emoji face*
Some of the other products from the collection I may have to pick up, purely for research of course :p, is the Monsters’ Ball Bath Bomb. I am such a sucker for anything that has lime in it! Also it has one eye and is purple so it reminds me of the flying purple people eater song we would sing at school. So I feel I am obligated to try it out! Their Knot Wraps are also very cool, the Moon Phases in particular! They are a great way to give a little edge to a gift without using paper, or just for yourself to use!
Have you tried any of the LUSH Halloween Collection yet? They are available in stores or online until 31 October!
Happy Halloween everyone!
